Studies in the Modern Presidency

SHIRLEY ANNE WARSHAW, SERIES EDITOR

The Studies in the Modern Presidency series was created to provide a platform for both established and emerging voices in modern presidential research. Covering the period from the Nixon administration to the present, the short and incisive books in the series chart new territory, offer a range of perspectives, and frame afresh the intellectual debate on the modern presidency. While works on the modern Congress abound, this series seeks to expand the literature specific to the issues surrounding the role of the commander-in-chief—including executive privilege, executive-legislative relations, presidential rhetoric, and public perception—to provide scholars, students, and the general public with original and insightful investigations into presidential politics and power.
