In partnership with Columbia University’s Weatherhead East Asian Institute, this series publishes books concerned with contemporary socio-political issues of East Asian regions. With an interdisciplinary and multinational focus, books of this series promote understanding of the peoples and cultures of China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Koreas, Mongolia, Tibet, and the countries of Southeast Asia.
